MTN PIRATE

MTN Pirate is a New Jersey based modded car photographer. With an emphasis on drifting and track racing, the aim was to create a brand surrounding the individual that people could instantly recognize.

Creating a brand around a creative is no simple feat, as their own unique style is always, rightfully so, at the core of their brand. With an understanding of their content and focus, the ideation of their branding identity becomes more clear.

A unique brandmark is crucial in differentiating themselves from others in the same space, from the logo to the color correction on their film and photos. Bringing those together was the main goal, creating a logo that matched what was on film.

The branding for an individual needs to be unique to them, and unique enough on it's own to register in other's minds when they view it. Creating something that is not inherently car focused allows it to separate itself from others, where a drift and or modded car will typically have multiple branded stickers and logos throughout their vehicle. Their social visibility is also increased, with a stamp that creates a unique barrier between themselves and others.

MTN Pirate is a clear example of creating your own identity in a space where many can claim their own space. Crafting your own brand surrounding your art is another way to separate yourself from others and showcase your own talent and skills.
